I have been in the sound business for over ten years and have a degree in Music Engineering Technology from Ball State University. I have worked on Sound for movies, television, theatre production, music, and live performance.

I spend my time manipulating sound to video. Currently I work in the video post production industry. Post production is the stage after the actors and directors and camera-people do their thing. Once the picture is shot (put to film), it is transferred to a video medium and sent to a post production house where the hours of tape are assembled into a cohesive and attractive, edited presentation. After the edit is complete or near complete, I assemble the sound to match the video edit. The sound that is recorded on set and transferred to DAT is called sync sound. I place the audio sync plus extra sound effects where they are appropriate, then mix them so the message is heard and the sound effects clarify the message without over powering it. After my job is completed the audio and video are combined on a master reel and sent to the world for your viewing pleasure.

Currently I am working on an independent film called "Holy Days" which is slated for video and cable release. It is a story of two couples in the dust bowl era trying to make ends meet while there farm blows "half way 'cross the country". I will soon be working on an independent sci-fi film entitled "The Changing Man". On this film not only will I have to edit the sync and mix, but I will also be required to create wild sound effects for aliens, technical equipment, and various other odd events.
