I graduated from Dartmouth in 1988, cum laude, with an A.B. in Russian. I was President of the Dartmouth College Marching Band and played in the Dartmouth African Drumming Ensemble. I also have an MBA from Stanford University.
At Digidesign, we develop, manufacture and market software and hardware for recording, editing, processing and mixing audio in the digital medium. Our customers are professional music studios, home studios, post production facilities and broadcast facilities. Our flagship product is Pro Tools, a software and hardware package which costs approximately $8,000.00 with all of the necessary accessories but does substantially all of what a fully-equipped synclavier digital music system can do, with the latter costing twenty to fifty times the cost to purchase Pro Tools.
Digidesign works with over 100 companies with digital audio expertise who develop software and hardware that adds functionality to the Pro Tools sytem. As Manager of the Third Party Developer Program, I manage these relationships, look for exciting new partners and work with our organization to keep existing partners happy and well informed. There are comparable positions to mine at companies like Apple and Microsoft, in which product "evangelists" approach other companies and encourage them to develop software and hardware for their platform.
