Sound Files to QuickTime Movie in QT5 Pro

Launch QT5
-
Under File, select Open Movie
-
Select your audio file
-
Click on Open button
-
If your file is not QT format, click on Convert
button. This converts AIFF file to QT format

If you are adding entire audio file to your movie: under
Edit, choose Select All.

If you are adding portion of your audio file to your
movie: select the portion you want by dragging the tiny triangles under
the bar. Position the tiny triangle on the right to the end of your selection
and position left one at the beginning of your selection.

Under Edit, select Copy
-
Under File, select Open Movie
-
Select your movie file
-
Click on Open button
-
Drag the triangle on top of the bar to the beginning
of the section you want to add the audio file

Under Edit, select Add
-
If you select Paste, the portion of the movie
will be replaced by the audio.

If you select Replace, the entire movie file
will be replaced by the audio file.

Some Tips and Hints!
-
You can keep adding more audio tracks by selecting Add
-
You can mute audio tracks separately by selecting Enable
Tracks... (under Edit) and the clicking on the file you want
to mute. Click again to turn it back on.

You can delete audio track by selecting Delete Tracks...
(under Edit), select the file you want to delete, then click
on Delete button

Finally when you are done adding sounds to your movie,
under File, choose Export

Select Movie to QuickTime Movie for Export:,
if it is not already selected

Click on Save button
Warning!!!

If you don't follow steps 12 to 14, you have only made
a file that points at your movie file and audio files. This means that
when you try to play your movie file on the computer that does not have
your original movie file and your audio files, it will not play. So...be
sure to Export your movie before turning in your assignment in the Drop
Folder!
