Huifang Wang
Adding an audio track to a movie in Quicktime 5 Pro:
(this is the same for windows and mac)
1. Choose Import from the File menu and select an audio file to import. A new QuickTime Player window appears.
2. Choose Select All from the Edit menu to select the entire audio clip, and then use Copy from the Edit menu.
3. You can also Select part of the audio clip by adjusting the two triangle markers under the timeline. The darkened area indicates the selected portion.
4. Open the movie you want to add the audio to and position the playback head at the location where you want the audio to start. Then choose Add from the Edit menu.
FTPing the files to server:
You can use two kinds of ftp software here:
FTP Explorer: downloaded from ftp://wilson.dartmouth.edu/Core%20Dartmouth%20Software/
FTP Explorer is FREE for home or educational use.
To use FTP Explorer, firstly you need type the Host address, Port, Login and Password in the Connect Window. Then push Connect button.
To download or upload files, you need to drag the files out of or into the FTP Explorer windows.
LeapFTP: downloaded from http://www.leapware.com/download.html
The latest version is LeapFTP 2.7.2. It's shareware. You can use it for about 60 days.
To connect to FTP server, you can just type in the server address, username, password and port number in the corresponding blanks which are on the top of the panel and then push the enter button on your keyboard.
To download or upload files, you can just drag the file between two windows placed at the middle of the panel.
